Police: Bethany Resident Charged in Domestic Dispute

State Police in Bethany say the man interfered with a 911 call in a dispute.

 

According to reports from State Police in Bethany, a Sperry Road man was arrested after a 911 hangup led police to the alleged scene of a domestic assault on the night of November 7.

Police were dispatched to follow up on the prematurely ended call shortly before midnight, say reports. When they got to the home, they allegedly arrested Walter Stronk, 49, of Bethany, and charged him with Disorderly Conduct, Interfering with an Emergency Call and Third-Degree Assault. No further details are available at this time about the alleged assault.

Stronk was held on a $7,500 bond, according to police.

Police blotter arrests do not indicate guilt or the existence of a conviction.
