Kevin Bolden and Moneek Grant are also suspects in bank robberies in New Haven, Greenwich and Stamford.
Police in Virginia have caught a New Haven man and his girlfriend suspected of committing a string of bank robberies, including the holdup of the First Niagara Bank branch in Woodbridge on March 8.
The Connecticut Post reported that Kevin Bolden, 46, and Moneek Grant, 34, both of New Haven, were caught when police pulled over their getaway car, a gray Volvo, which displayed Virginia license plates they had stolen.
They were reportedly in possession of crack cocaine and some of the money they took in a bank robbery in Stamford on March 19. They are also suspected of robbing a second Stamford bank and other banks in New Haven and Greenwich.
