Student Arrested Following Sweep of High School

Charged with possession with intent to sell, and three other charges.

On Friday, April 29, the Woodbridge Police arrested a student at Amity Regional High School on drug related charges. 

His arrest followed an intense police K9 search of the school and the parking lots that was conducted earlier in the morning.

Daniel Cote, 18, of 50 Ralph Road, Bethany, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of school grounds, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

One of the drug sniffing dogs hit on Cote's car in the parking lot, during the arrest officer seized marijuana, a digital scale, packaging materials and an undisclosed amount of cash. 

At the time of this press release Cote is being held on a $5,000.00 bond.
