TD Bank Robbery: Suspects Flee With Cash [Updated]

With the investigation ongoing, Woodbridge Police release an image from a video surveillance camera and provide a description of the suspects' vehicle.

Woodbridge Police are actively investigating the robbery of TD Bank at 128 Amity Road.

Police said two men entered the bank around 12:40 p.m. on March 12 and demanded money from a teller. A weapon was implied but not displayed, according to Woodbridge Police Sgt. Frank Cappiello.

One of the suspects demanded money from a teller, while the second suspect kept other bank employees and customers from interceding, police said.

The suspects are described as black males wearing all black clothing and masks.  They fled in a tan colored vehicle with a New Jersey registration. The vehicle was waiting outside the bank, police said, and was last seen heading south on Amity Road into New Haven. 

Police said an undetermined amount of cash was taken.

The TD Bank branch at 128 Amity Road in Woodbridge was robbed this afternoon, a Woodbridge Police dispatcher confirmed.

Additional information was not immediately available as police are actively investigating the robbery. Reports over the scanner indicate that police may be searching for two suspects who fled the scene.

The TD Bank on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden was robbed exactly one week ago.
