Traffic Stop Leads to Outstanding Warrant Arrest

Woodbridge police say the Waterbury man had a warrant for reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian, among other charges.

A routine traffic stop on Route 69 led to the arrest of a 30-year-old Waterbury man who reportedly had an outstanding warrant out of Danbury.

The man, who Woodbridge police identified as Gary N. Rodriquez, was arrested at 5:54 p.m. on March 23. Upon pulling his vehicle over, police said it was determined that Rodriguez was operating with a suspended license.

In addition, police said, he was found to be wanted on an outstanding re-arrest warrant from Danbury Police Department for the charges of failure to plead and reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian.
