Person: John Vecchio, 52, 123 Lebanon Rd., Bethany, CT 

Charge: D.U.I.

Police Report: On 12/20/13 at approximately 7:53 p.m. police responded to Rt. 69 near the New Haven town line on a report of a disabled motor vehicle at which time they found the operator, Vecchio, to be intoxicated. Vecchio failed roadside sobriety testing at the scene, was taken into custody and transported to Police HQ for processing. 

After being charged with DUI, he was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on 1/3/14.

Lori Lavers, 55, 30 Harbour Close, New Haven, CT

Charge: Breach of Peace

Police Report: On 12/26/13 at approximately 2:33 p.m. police responded to 9 Meadow Crest Circle on a report of a dispute. 

Upon arrival police determined that a disturbance had taken place and Lavers had left the scene. With the assistance of the New Haven Police Dept., she was subsequently located and taken into custody. After being 
processed, Lavers was released on a Promise to Appear, and was given a court arraignment date of 12/28/13 in 
New Haven Superior Court. 


Person: Undisclosable Name, age 15, Amity High School Student

Charge: Illegal Possession of Narcotics

Police Report: On 1/7/14 at approximately 11:53 a.m. police responded to the Amity High School on a medical emergency. 

The patient, who was a student, was found to be in illegal possession of prescription narcotics. The student was charged with the above crime and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Juvenile Court on 1/17/14.
