Campaign Notebook: Linda McMahon 2.0

News and updates from the campaign trail in Connecticut.

Chris Murphy (D): Murphy has gained $16,000 since earlier this week, bringing his campaign fund total to $5.59 million, reports the New Haven Register. Democratic rival Susan Bysiewicz currently has $2.4 million.

Linda McMahon (R): Politico reports that McMahon has improved since her last campaign and is now "Linda 2.0". They say that this makeover has left the candidate more "toned down."

Third District

Rosa DeLauro (D): DeLauro has co-sponsored a new bill introduced by Congressman Edward Markey, reports PharmaTimes. The Trial and Experimental Studies Transparency Act of 2012 aims to have all eligible clinical studies results posted on ClinicalTrials.gov within a year.

Wayne Winsley (R): Winsley held an open candidate's forum on Thursday at the East Haven Senior Center.

At least she's spending her own instead of begging others! That should be to her credit. I had to wait in traffic the other week because Obama closed down the highway so he could beg for campaign funds. Yeah thanks, I'll vote for the guy who isn't screwing up my day.

Campaign polling shows that Linda is ahead of Chris Shays in the polling due to all her campaign advertising. However, polling also shows that Linda cannot win in the general election against the presumptive Democrat/socialist nominee Chris Murphy. The same polling shows that Chris Shays COULD win in the general election against Mr. Murphy. So if you're voting tomorrow remember a vote for Linda is a vote for Murphy!
