STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS TO TAKE PLACE FRIDAY, JUNE 1, 2012

of Commerce to Award Scholarships to Milford Area Youth

Milford, CT, May 16, 2012 –
The Milford Chamber of Commerce Legislative Action Committee presents the 2012
State of the City Address by Mayor Benjamin G. Blake.  The event will take place on Friday, June 1,
2012 at Costa Azzurra Restaurant, 72 Broadway in Milford, at 12:00 noon. 

In addition to the Mayor’s
address, The Milford Chamber of Commerce will present their Annual Awards Scholarships
to 27 students from the Milford area. The $21,000.00 in scholarships to be
awarded is funded through the Milford Chamber of Commerce Trust Fund and the
BIC Golf Classic that is held annually.  The
scholarships are for various fields of study and all scholarship winners will
be present at the event. 

Milford Pride's
Annual “White Glove Award” will also be awarded to Metro Star Real Estate Development
LLC., Robert H. Smith Jr. for beautifying
downtown Milford’s 1 New Haven Avenue property, both the building and the surrounding
grounds. 

Sponsored by Tri-City Heating & Cooling, the event is by reservation and is $30.00
