Grant Will Bring Historic Docs Into Digital Age

The Town of Woodbridge has been awarded a $4,000 historic preservation grant.

A new state grant will help preserve vital documents in the Town of Woodbridge and, at the same time, help put them at the public's finger tips.

Woodbridge Town Clerk Stephanie Ciarleglio said the Connecticut State Library has awarded the Town of Woodbridge a $4,000 Targeted Grant Contract for the Historic Documents Preservation Program. The grant supplements the town budget to preserve and restore the Town’s Land Records.

"These funds will be applied towards an ongoing project of scanning older deed images and allow the land records to become more accessible to the public," a press release from the town states. "Completion of this project will allow for the records to become available online."
