Notes in a Nutshell: Planning and Zoning Commission July 7

Grand Apizza will be getting some new signs after receiving commission approval.

The Bethany Planning and Zoning Commission met on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the commission room of Bethany Town Hall. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m. The following is a recap of the new business discussed at the meeting.

The board motioned to table a decision regarding a home cccupation permit for Sandra Barrett of Pretty Much Cupcakes, 58 Miller Rd. The business must first be approved by the Quinnipiack Valley Health District in regards to sewage disposal, water supply and food preparation. The next opportunity to re-apply for the permit is the Aug. 3 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

The Commission authorized Zoning Enforcement Officer Isabel Kearns to approve two signs at Fredrick Nuzzo’s Grand Apizza of Bethany,  119 Amity Rd. The signs include a two by eight feet single electric signs and a and three by four feet double face electric sign with posts.

The Commission also authorized Isabel Kearns to review and approve an internal addition to the . The church is located at 526 Amity Road.
