Residents Want to Record Bethany Meetings

Bethany resident Fran Doba began a recent initiative to bring certain government meetings to the people.

"I and a few of my like-minded associates are currently undertaking an initiative to video tape Bethany Board of Selectmen, Finance and Planning & Zoning meetings in order to sustain the energy that erupted this spring," she wrote in this blog on Bethwood Patch.

The goal is to air the unedited meetings on YouTube and Comcast Public Access TV-Channel 10.

"We are working with Comcast to come up with a schedule for airing these segments so our residents can tune in to see what their elected officials are working on and how they are voting," she said.

Doba encourages residents to follow her blog to receive updates. If you'd like to follow the Ear to the Ground blog, visit this page and click "get email updates."
