The winter sleet+snow on Feb. 29 created slippery conditions on Valley Road, especially on that always-tricky downhil curve from Amity Road to the Sargent River bridge. Our neighbor thought the impact of SUV with this rail sounded like an explosion, although we couldn't hear it at our end of the road. No one was injured.
