Amity High Principal Releases Statement About Fallen Soldier
School is planning a tribute to Eric Soufrine at graduation ceremony; counselors made available to students.
The principal of Amity Regional High School has released a letter regarding the loss of Amity graduate Eric Soufrine. The text is as follows:
Dear Amity:
I regret to inform the community that Eric Soufrine, Amity High School Class of 2009, has given his life in service to our nation. We were informed yesterday afternoon that Eric was killed in Afghanistan. Eric Soufrine resided in the Town of Woodbridge. The school’s crisis team has been placed on notice and is available to assist distraught students. We will be organizing an appropriate recognition at this year’s 2011 Commencement Exercise. I know you all join me in keeping Eric and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
