Earlier this week, a student at Amity Regional High School began a Facebook page called “Amity Senior Prank.” On this Facebook page, a student posted that he was planning a “fake shooting” at the school. This morning, several students reported the post to the administration, and indicated that they were concerned that the prank was actually going to occur at Amity High School. The administration began a prompt investigation and identified the student who made the threat. Law enforcement was notified, and the student has been disciplined. At this time, we have no reason to believe that any students are planning a “fake shooting” at the high school.

Sincerely,
