Does Organic Food Matter?

The Massaro Community Farm invites you to a lecture/discussion on the pros and cons of organic foods and the best organic food choices.  Georgia Chavent, MS, RD, CSSD, Director of the Nutrition and Dietetics program at University  of New Haven will speak. The lecture is free; however,  tax-deductible contributions to the Massaro  Community Farm are always welcomed and will be used to support educational endeavors.

A non-profit organization, the Massaro Community Farm is dedicated  to farmland preservation, feeding the hungry, and educating the community about sustainable agriculture, and nutrition.  This year the MCF  donated 2 tons of organic food to Columbus House, Birmingham Health Services, and Woodbridge Human Services.  We welcome this opportunity to discuss food sources, organic foods,  and the importance of supporting locally-grown food.  For more information, go to www.massarofarm.org.
