Peter Orszag to Speak at JCC

Peter Orszag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Barack Obama, will speak about Washington and the Economy, in the JCC auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Orszag is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations and a contributing columnist for the New York Times Op-Ed page. He has long studied Social Security issues and tax cuts and was a strong voice urging Congress to fix the health-care system. Working in tandem with White House health czar Nancy DeParle and Health and Human Services Dept. Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, he became a major player in the over haul enacted in 2010.
