Senior Home Energy Workshop

Bethany Elder Services has joined the Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge and wants to help you reduce your energy bills! Bethany, along with 13 other towns in the state won a highly competitive grant from the Department of Energy to help residents reduce their energy consumption through the Neighbor to Neighbor program.

One of the easiest ways to get involved in the challenge and learn about saving money and energy is to attend a workshop. Join us during lunch Monday, February 13th at 12:00PM to learn more about Home Energy Solutions and our free lighting program. Neighbor to Neighbor staff will give a short presentation on both programs and discuss how most seniors qualify for a free visit, as well as answer any questions you may have. With every step you take in the challenge you will earn the town, as well as Elder Services, points that can be redeemed for energy saving prizes.

The Connecticut Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge is a nonprofit community savings program that engages residents in 14 Connecticut towns to reduce their home’s energy use by 20%. As residents of Bethany join and take actions to help their household, they help the town, as well as Elder Services, earn points that can be redeemed for community rewards.
