During this workshop, we'll discuss how to write the personal essay and the five mistakes to avoid when the characters are those closest to us.

The workshop is led by Anne Witkavitch, principal of Anne W Associates, a communications and change management consultancy, and a published author and speaker. Anne's work appears in the newly released Women Writing on Family: Tips for Writing, Teaching and Publishing and she is editor of the award-winning Press Pause Moments: Essays about Life Transitions by Women Writers. Anne is a blogger for MariaShriver.com and TravelingMom.com and teaches writing at Western Connecticut State University.
