Graduates, 'You Are Leaving Amity A Better Place'

Congratulations to the Amity High School Class of 2013!

Under sunny skies with a nearly tangible sense of excitement in the air, hundreds of families gathered to celebrate the students as they close the chapter on their high school career.

The ceremony was filled with all the pomp and circumstance that graduations are known for. And, of course, a few beach balls bopping around above the graduates' heads.

In his remarks, Amity Principal Dr. Charles Britton told the graduates, "You are leaving Amity a better place."

Britton went on to inform the graduates that, in addition to their diplomas, they'd be leaving with a gift from the school administration and PTSA.

"A flashlight," he said -- engraved with Amity High Class of 2013.

Let it always be a reminder of the "light of inspiration that your teachers worked so hard to spark in your hearts and minds."

Superintendent John Brady challenged the graduates. "Create new solutions to old problems," he said.

What's your advice to the graduates?
