It's Official: Summer Vacation Extended Until Sept. 6
Hurricane Irene gives children reason to celebrate, parents fret.
The verdict is in: Amity schools will not open for the new school year until Sept. 6. Following a meeting this morning of school officials, it was decided the aftermath of Hurricane Irene is insurmountable, at least for the remainder of this week.
