Fall Foliage Bike Ride

Bring the whole family for a bike ride across West Rock Ridge State Park on October 16th. The gate to Baldwin Drive will be opened to allow bicycles to be unloaded at the top of the ridge. No motor vehicles will be allowed past the drop off point, and must be parked outside of the gate. The first mile is suitable for young and inexperienced riders. The remainder of the ride is moderate difficulty, with some loose gravel in spots, and 2 or 3 hills that some may need to walk their bikes on. The views of New Haven, Hamden and Woodbridge promise to be spectacular. The length of Baldwin drive atop the ridge is 4 to 5 miles. Gates will be closed once all bicycles have been unloaded at the top, and motor vehicles have left the park. There are 2 parking lots along Wintergreen Avenue. You can still ride or walk up if you show up late, it's sure to be worth the effort.
