Ten-Year-Old All-Stars Qualify for State Tourney
The baseball players won the district championship.
The Bethwood ten-year-old All-Star team completed a six game sweep of the Cal Ripken District 2 Tournament. Now, the team will be competing in the state tournament in New Milford beginning Saturday.
The combined Bethany and Woodbridge team defeated South Meriden and West Hartford on their way to the district championship with a mix of strong hitting, stingy defense and dominant pitching.
