A Darling Christmas [Photos]

The Amity & Woodbridge Historical Society hosted an open house last Sunday.

 

The Amity & Woodbridge Historical Society wlecomed the public to its annual Holiday Open House at the Thomas Darling House on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The entire home was decorated as it would have been in the 1770s with natural greens and a simple tree.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Darling, aka Don and Dana Menzies, dressed in period attire, mingled with guests and joined in the caroling and watched their special guests, the Amity Chamber Singers, perform on the main staircase.

Punch, hot cider, cookies and treats were served and, in the study, fresh baked cakes, breads and cookies were sold to benefit the Historical Society.
