Darling House Museum

The Cow Barn on the property of the Darling Farmstead is now ready for a full debut, after an extensive preservation. Spring is a time that the first fresh grass ensure that cows will produce rich, nutritious milk. Farm animals give birth and pastures grow green. Our ancestors enjoyed this bounty in creamed dishes and milky soups or transformed the milk into butter, cheese and yogurt for longer preservation.&nbsp;In celebration, we will be enjoying Spring with "dairy" coming from our hearth.





In addition, visitors can&nbsp;take a look at our new, modern kitchen space, created to help us better serve our programming needs. We also put up new signs on the property to help passerbys learn about the farmstead and its history. 

We would like to thank the State Historic Preservation Office, the Town of Woodbridge and our donors for making the Cow Barn Preservation a reality. And for grants by Connecticut Humanities for our new kitchen, visitor bathroom and signage. 

So much to see! taste! and enjoy!
