Katz's Deli Doubling Its Size

It was an opportunity too good to pass up.

So when the space next to Katz's became available, the deli jumped at the chance to expand.

And with the added space, Katz's will be adding more seating and creating a bakery that will specialize in rye breads, bagels and traditional Jewish pastries, according to Jake Katz, whose father Steven has owned the deli since 1998.

They will also take the opportunity to renovate the existing space and, when the business is sporting its new digs, they'll start serving breakfast at 8 a.m. and stay open an extra two hours, till 10 p.m., Jake says.

Katz's will be closed for a brief period during the renovation, most likely in late July. The deli and restaurant is located at 1658 Litchfield Turnpike in Woodbridge.
